The background and experience that inform my practice...
About Me
Seeking support can be a meaningful step, especially when you may have been carrying challenges on your own for some time. Therapy offers a space to slow down, reflect, and explore your experiences in a supportive and confidential environment.
I am an Indian-born, Australian-trained Clinical Psychologist. My approach to therapy is warm, thoughtful, and non-judgemental, with a strong focus on creating a space where clients feel safe to speak openly about their experiences.

My work is grounded in evidence-based psychological approaches, and I aim to support clients in understanding their challenges, developing effective coping strategies, and moving toward greater wellbeing and balance in their lives.
My specialised training allows me to support individuals experiencing a wide range of psychological challenges. Please see the Online Therapy page for more details.

What Makes Me Different
My Indian family background, combined with a Western upbringing, allows me to connect with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and understand the complexities that can arise when navigating cultural identity, acculturation, and differing cultural expectations.
Therapy is a deeply personal process. Each person's life experiences are unique, and the challenges they face can present in different ways. There's no such thing as a challenge that is "too small" to bring into therapy — if it's impacting you it's important.
I care deeply about providing a safe space where you can express yourself openly. My aim is to understand your experiences from your perspective and how the challenges you are facing are affecting your life.
I am passionate about helping you move toward a path where you feel more empowered to manage your mental health and live in a way that feels meaningful to you. I genuinely believe that this is the only way for the benefits you experience through therapy to last beyond the therapy 'room' and for the long run.

My doctoral research focused on bipolar disorder, giving me specialised insight into mood disorders and the complexities of emotional experience. Some of this work has also been published in peer-reviewed research. You can read my doctoral thesis here.

Who I Often Work With
Many of the people who seek therapy with me are thoughtful and reflective individuals who may appear to be coping well on the outside, while privately carrying significant emotional strain or navigating complex life challenges.

Some are navigating the impact of past trauma, persistent anxiety, or low mood, while others are feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them.

I also work with individuals exploring cultural identity or the complexities that can arise when living between cultures.

My Therapeutic Approach

Clients often describe my approach as warm, gentle, and compassionate. My practice is grounded in evidence-based psychological approaches, including CBT, Schema Therapy, MERIT, mindfulness-based therapies and, EMDR.
I take a collaborative approach, working with you to understand the unique challenges you are facing and to develop practical strategies tailored to your individual needs. My aim is to support you in developing insight, coping skills, and lasting tools that foster resilience and help you navigate life's complexities with greater confidence.

You don't need to be in crisis to seek support. Many people come to therapy simply because something in their life feels difficult, confusing, or overwhelming, and they would value a space to talk it through.
